Strongsville Lore

There is place in the woods, right near Drake Road. Where all my friends and I used to always go as kids and we still go there every once in a while just to visit. It used to be a place where we could just sit and enjoy the birds, trees and plain nature. You can’t hear much of anything when your there. Just yourself, thinking. As you walk the path, you cross creeks and animals. It is very enjoyable.
There are houses in the vicinity of our sanctuary but the trees are so tall and completely surround it, it can’t be anymore private. It is also on top of a small hill that anyone who wanted to see you would have to know you were there, just adding to the privacy. I grew up in this spot. It has meaning to me, and I will not forget it as long as I live

I Live in

I live in Chefsville
Is this where you live?
I live here in Chefsville
I live on Oven Street
My friend lives on Grill Avenue
Do you live here in Chefsville
Food
Cook round me like rain on other folks
People chew like cows eating grass
And like a fat guy eating a hotdog
Couldn’t believe my mind actually thinking they was good mannered
I got to tell them my mind where other people don’t say anything
I got that honesty and truth for which I am proud for
I can’t stand when somebody like that be thinking they can get away with being that rude
I live in Chefsville
Live in it
Cook in it
I cd even dream it
Wear thoughts on my sleeve and mind
Im so fulla pride
Ya cd make money where yr mom and dad are proud
Be yourself in Chefsville

My Epitaph

My Epitaph

The body of Brent Fritsch
Cooker
Like a mother on Thanksgiving,
His body blistered from burns
And
Fingers cut on sharp blades
Lies here
Food fit for Kings
But his work shall not be lost
For it will be made again
Eaten again and again
In a better revision of a recipe
Spiced and seasoned better

Incident Narative: The Boat

The Boat

This all started when I was about seven years old and my dad and I were driving down to Cleveland. I was too young to even know where we were going but I didn’t even ask. After many turns, we ended up at a yacht club. I was very surprised and as soon as we drove through the gates I could smell the lake. Many people find it gross but I don’t mind it at all, I kind of like it.
We got out of the car and all I could do is smile. All I saw were huge boats and yachts all around me. Then my dad pointed at a specific one. It wasn’t the biggest or most nice boat there. But it was beautiful. The boat was big, tall stilts because it was out of the water. It was the early spring so it was still pretty chilly outside. There were a bunch of people working on it, my dad said to me “we have to get her ready for the summer,” as I smiled.
After standing around for a while, I finally got to go in it. I had to climb up a fifty foot ladder just to get in it, when I stepped in the boat my face lite up like a rocket. It was old but one of the best things I have ever seen. After that day my family had spent many days on the lake. I will never forget when I first saw that boat.
